The Montessori School
of Washington

is a small, nurturing environment for children ages two to six,
where the curriculum is based on the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori

The School

The Montessori School of Washington aims to introduce children to the joy of learning at an early age and assists the child in creating an inner order. This self-discipline becomes the basis of freedom, within a framework, for children to learn through their senses according to their own timetable of growth and level of interest.

By achieving continuous success in learning experiences, the child will develop self-confidence and competence, attributes which are carried into maturity. When children acquire self-mastery and self-respect, they then respect others.

My son, Izzy, started MSOW and in four months has experienced extraordinary emotional and intellectual growth. There can be no doubt that most of the credit goes to the talented and conscientious staff at MSOW.

AFTERCARE PROGRAM

We have heard from our parents and have made some changes with a new Aftercare Program. The theme is still Montessori based but with a few more added fun activities for the kids. A great way to end the day and a added option for busy parents.

My husband and I both work full time and the afterschool care program has been a wonderful resource for our family. Our daughter Julia absolutely loves it and is never ready to leave at the end of the day. When I pick her up in the evening, she is always working on a creative project with her friends. They color, build structures, read books, and play games. I really can’t say enough about the teaching staff at MSOW. They are wonderful, kind and patient educators. I am always greeted with a smile, even at the end of a long day. We feel blessed that our daughter attends a school where she is able to be flourish and grow.
— Meghan, mother of Julia (age 3)
